What or Who is Member Accessibility?
Hello! We’re your resource for any accessibility or mobility-related questions while at Otakon. We coordinate with the rest of the convention so that those Members in need of assistance with lines or seating accommodations are taken care of. We also maintain Quiet Rooms for Member use during the con hours, and we have ASL interpreters available on request and working at our larger events.
What should I do if I need help with these sort of things?
You can always contact us before the con, and we’ll do our best to answer your questions and help you plan for a fun trip.
At Otakon, you’ll want to make us your first stop. You can pick up your badge at Member Accessibility and save yourself the hassle. We will be able to answer your questions in person, and give you a ribbon for your badge that gives you access to any accommodations we’re able to offer.
As this is our first year in D.C, we’re excited to explore the new building and work with our Staff and Members alike to ensure a great Otakon 2017! We invite your feedback, and will be adding more detail to this FAQ as we get closer to August. Please contact us if you have any concerns, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Have you lost or found an item?
Please visit the Lost and Found department to file a form for your lost item or to turn in a found item.
Lost and Found is dedicated to assist and be of a service to the members and staff when they have either lost or found an item. The purpose of the Lost and Found department is to efficiently and effectively return all items to their rightful owners while abiding and adhering to the policies of Otakorp, Inc.
Each year at Otakon, the Lost and Found Department is to strive in growth of their services by improving their return rate. To accomplish this goal, the department will provide members with the most organized, effective, and respectful services by abiding by the department motto, “Members First”.

This year we’re trying something a little different, so for those of you who have used us before – don’t panic! The Info Desk Online Ninja Squad
Cosplay Rescue staff are prepared to fix anything and everything that comes through the door, and have yet to send anyone away without a repair. This may include hot glue failure, worbla re-shaping, makeup smudges, wig wandering, torn seams, torn fabric, snapped staffs, acts of Cthulhu, and logistical restructuring of costumes that defy the laws of physics and fabric. Cosplay Rescue is equipped with privacy curtains for sensitive repairs.
